What constantly amazes me in all of life’s trials and experiences is the amount of complaining and bickering that people around me do. Constantly griping about life and America, how the war in Iraq is evil, and that America should be ashamed for their lies and deceit. That liberals are just a bunch of gay tree huggers, that conservatives are old fashioned dead weights that hate the little man. America should be ashamed of itself for the scandals of Abu Ghraib, that all Americans are oil lov...
Currently I'm ranked 234 at the wonderful site of JoeUser. com The idea of this blog is for everyone who replies leaves their rank, and one positive comment for another JU blogger. Capt. Cornbread and Carebear07 have awesome blogs that everyone should read! (There, that's the positive comment) If you want, check out some of my other stuff. Peace, Beebes
Been thinking about things lately. Been thinking a lot. Here's what I've come up with. I know how much I mean to this place. I'm a big fat zero, a basic null space that writes articles periodically. This I understand. Lately I've been unhappy with myself, a lot more than I feel is healthy and a lot more than I want to endure. I've noticed that I become more unhappy when I log on to joeuser.com to find that I have not had any replies to any of my articles, and that they tend to basica...
I’ve seen some fictional blogs on here before. I think we all have. It’s interesting that the one that seemed to have created the most drama has not posted anything lately, at least, as far as I know. What I want to know is this; Do you believe fictional blogging is good or bad? In my opinion, if a fictional blog is done right, you can end up with a insightful, interesting, thought provoking read. If you do it wrong, you generally have a lot of... well badness. Some of the people on her...
Maybe someday I will try. Maybe someday I will die. And sometime, someday, I will end up knowing why. Why people kill their only child, with no remorse, no second glance, Why people live a life alone without making sound and why small children can’t be loved but can be loved but chose to not. And someday I’ll know why unspeakable terrors happen to wonderful people, and the people who seem least deserving seem to get away with the farm and the mule. Someday I’ll know why young ...
Every day I log on to my JU acount here, I’m constantly unsatisfied with myself. My articles don’t attract any attention, and I remain basically anonymous. So, in the light of these thoughts, I’ve come to the conclusion that my blog doesn’t really count. I started this blog to share my thoughts with others and to try and create an environment for conversation about topics that I think are important. What happens when others don’t share their thoughts back? Nothing happens. And that’s wha...
It seems that whenever I look at my blogs, they don't show the right points value, or the right number of replies. Has anyone else been having this problem? I don't think it's my computer, I just checked at work, and it's the same way. Anyone know of any mistakes on their own blogs?
It's been almost a year since I started blogging on JU. I love the points system and the recent articles and recent forum posts sections. They make it a lot easier to find good bloggers to read. Lately, even though our view points differ dramatically, I've been reading Myrrander's work, simply because he writes well, and brings up the other side that I sometimes may not want to hear, but need to hear. I think my worst problem with the blogging system presented by these two utilities is th...
Sometimes, blogging, and especially the blogging community is just like a potluck dinner. You've got political activists -- the meat and tatters guys on the right wing and the fau grois and spinach salad coming from the left, with libertarians bringing a little mix of everything... but mostly brownies. Poets --- Being one of the aforementioned, we're probably bringing in boxed chicken as personal expression, or some half-sweet cheesecake. Maybe both! Life Bloggers --- Potato cassarol...
Dearest JoeUser Member, We're happy to announce that you have reached 100 articles written. For most bloggers, 100 articles is an impossible figure because they do not spend the time to think up and write good articles. Your literary prowess has surpassed all expectations, and has added tremendously to the community. You have stuck it out through think and thin comments, and kept at it when points were tight. We applaud your efforts to create a blog site that has true meaning and depth, an...
If I were to say something really catchy in the line up above me here, I could really get a bunch of replies. Of course if I wrote in all capitals GOD SHALL SMITE YOU IF YOU DON'T TURN CHRISTIAN!!!!!! Then I might get a lot of people to come and hate at me. If I put the "." in the title, I might get 20 replies... but if I use "~", I'm sure to get none. If I put the words Sex Abortion, Government, Terry Shiavo, and Bush in the same Title, I could get quite a few liberals and republica...
This is a thought that has occurred within me a couple of times, as Zoo recently celebrated his 100th article, and Capt. Cornbread just wrote his 150th the other day. I'm wondering, honestly, does that number make it an important article? Because some 100th and 200th and 25th articles stink on ice. I mean honestly... really look at them. They suck. (Not Brandon or Shaun, by the way, but some 100th, 25th, ect. articles really stink!) This will be my *gasp* *shock-and-awe* 90th article. Big ...
All of the time I’ve been on this site, I’ve picked out a few favorite bloggers. They are encouraging to new members, and do their best to make this community better than it currently is. Without their help, JoeUser would not be the experience it is today. Without further adieu, I present, IMHO, some of the greatest JU bloggers. Mignuna http://mignuna.joeuser.com/ This wonderful lady has some of the best articles on JU. They are well thought out, funny, thought provoking, and all...
So, I’m back again. Not that it’s like I was gone for but two days, but hey, I’m not a quitter, and secondly, when I heard about Draginol’s little blog about “Blogging for the wrong reasons” I felt like I should have some bit of a reply. Let me first say that I enjoy JoeUser. Let it also be known that the automated system helps me get readers, which I appreciate. Let me also say that I find it even more encouraging when someone replies to my blogs, gives feedback. That kind of thing make...
It seems, to me, that things have been going rather badly here at JU. This has not been a unique trend, as the community over at DeviantArt took a big hit with the forced removal of one of the site's cofounders, Scott Jarkoff. But, that story is neither here, nor now, and I'll get to it in another article. JoeUser, when I first arrived, was ideal. A small but continually expanding base of people wrote, replied, and created blogs that were of interest to the general populace, and were well ...
