Our country passes its independence day. Everyone thinks about the fireworks, the picnics, the parties and a good time. Some stumble across the idea that the founding fathers of this country gave us the freedoms to do and say what we want, and that we should be thankful that we are free. The problem is, people aren’t free in the sense that they have freedom. In these times, people are only free to choose their masters. People aren’t free anymore. Why are people not free? Look at you...
Ah, camping!!! This weekend, instead of staying home and doing what consists of a normal weekend day (TV and Sleep), I went camping with a few friends. Nature truly is a beautiful place. Whatever happens to it, be it rain or snow, it still retains its primal beauty. It truly is an experience to go to a park or your local equivalent and just take a walk out in the woods. Don't go with anyone. Just go alone, and take water and maybe a snack. Try to get as far from other people as possible. You...
In a recent article, posted here , I asked if people would like to read fiction if I wrote it in a blog style, and I posted chapters periodically. The general consensus was yes, so I'm ready to hear what you think! I've posted the first chapter in my new blog group beebles-fiction. Link Check it out. Peace, Beebes
Recently I had a pretty bad arguement with my girlfriend. After we kissed and made up, I wrote this poem to her. It's short, but I hope you all enjoy it. What is speech without words? What is sight without light? What is touch without hands? What is love, without you?
Sometimes, getting through the first few sentences of a new article for my blog is the hardest part of writing. Sometimes I can’t think of something to write, so I come up with a fancy title that might catch someone’s eye and make them come read it, because I can honestly say that when I go to a blog because of the title, even if the blog is something I’m uninterested in, I feel obliged to read it because they sucked me in, and I deserve it. But this isn’t one of those times. I just got...
The past week, I’ve decided on the path that I will hopefully follow the rest of my life. I’ve found what I want to pursue after highschool. My current path is Pharmacy. But I don’t really want to talk too much about my college choices and my upcoming school year. I want to talk about the decisions. For the past three years I’ve been looking at colleges, and I’ve been getting about 2 pieces of college mail a day. It becomes quite confusing after a while, and most of the colleges I l...
So I'm sure that at least some of the people who blog here have heard about the Circleville Pumpkin Festival/Show. It is the 6th largest festival in the world, and "The Greatest Free Show on Earth!" which is often spouted by loving Circlvilians. Let me tell you right now. Pumpkin show is hell. Circleville is close to where I live. In fact, one might say that I go there frequently to purchase food, CDs, go to Wal-Mart, ect. When Pumpkin show comes in, so do the 5 dollar parking rates. ...
I went to Best Buy the other day. Clarification: Our county fair is this week. Because a majority of all students that go to our school are in 4-H and FFA, we get the whole week off. YAY! After I had fed my cattle projects, I was leaving the fair and decided to go to Best Buy to pick up a CD. I had a Discover 15 dollar gift card, and I was ready to go. I walked in, grabbed the new Further Seems Forever CD (excellent music) and since I had time to kill, I went over and looked at the v...
I’m sorry. I wanted to tell you that. It seems that there are a lot of things I want to tell you. But foremost in my mind is this; I’m sorry. I didn’t want to hurt anyone, tear any family apart, destroy any relationships... I didn’t want to lose hope. I didn’t want to give in, and yet... I’m sorry. Everything I am wants to tell you that. Walk up to you and say, “I’m sorry.” I want to walk up and tell you my name, introduce myself, know your reasons. But I can’t. I am afraid. I...
The sun will rise and I’ll keep walking on, The rain will fall and I’ll keep living like I want. A tree in the forest will fall, and I won’t hear the sound, But in my heart I’ll know, and I’ll keep holding on. Life is gonna be alright, even though it doesn’t seem that it will, and knowing how to break these chains means I know how to keep walking. And everything is gonna be ok. The wind will blow the way it wants, and I will keep living, even in the AM. hours, even in the light ...
Homecoming was last night. I (kinda) went with Sam, and we had a great time. Her mom didn’t want me to pick her up, so basically we just met outside the door. Not very interesting, but hey, you take what you get, right? Well, today she sent me an email talking about the dance, and how she had a great time. Then she starts talking about her mom. Sam’s mom doesn’t like me. Or, well, she doesn’t trust me. Her mother, I think, is an excellent person, and actually is quite right in her po...
This article was originally written Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004. Due to a long football game and tired parents, I was unable to post this article until early Sunday morning. Today’s been interesting for me. Every Saturday, I normally play Magic: the Gathering with some friends at a local hobby shop. It’s a good way for me to relax, get my mind off of what I’ve been doing at school for a few hours. Today, however, my dad needed help building a new barn, so I did that instead. Today, when I got...
Commanding respect from a dangerous felon, gives strange a new meaning, I know that it’s hell on, This plane and I’d do anything that I can - - - to know, to feel, to live life once again. Powerful songs are sung by the masses, my mind moves slower than... *blink* But how can I get up, and get out, into the unknown when all I’ve been doing is siting on my ass? Hey yall! Haven’t posted in a while, so I figured I’d bring up latest developments of highlights that I think are gre...
Seems like for the past couple of days, I’ve been having a free time fiasco. Seems like I never have enough free time to get blogs written, read books, and do the things that I like. I know some of it is from starting up school again and taking all honors courses, but I expected to have a little more free time than this. So, senior year. I’ve got Physics, Calculus my first two periods. Same class. I don’t really even move. The homework is the toughest I’ve ever done, and I’m slipping. I do...
Well, It's getting to be the holiday season. Woohoo. I love Christmas, but I don't ever really ask for anything. My siblings ask for all kinds of cool things, and I'm satisfied with a nice breakfast and a computer game. It's not a big deal for me getting presents. My bro and sis are all the time waiting for Christmas morning so they can open presents, but I always get my 10 hours of sleep on Christmas Eve. Well, Mom's been hounding me about writing a Christmas list lately, and since ...
