If you could sing, sing
If you would play, play
and if love is in you
make music.

Because life is an acoustic set
whether you like it or not
you have to make the music
so make the music softly
loudly
out of tune, on key

For what is life without love?
Just notes and lines on
an unreadable scale
one easily dismissed and
easier forgotten.

I make music most everyday, kudos to band on that. Then I try to sing, which never turns out right....ah well...when I'm alone, no one can yell at me for being off key.

zoo~ don't listen to them... you're keys are unique and because of that they are something that others can't rightfully criticize.

al~ that's a nice poem but sometimes we just need to have a really long run of rests in the music.

Surely you've never stopped loving?

Great analogy between love and music.

"Because life is an acoustic set"

I like that line a lot

Check out my poetry sometime and let me know what you think.

I like this one too, mostly because I'm a sucker for music. It also reminded me of my favourite Shakespearean play twelfth night. The opening lines are "If music be the food of love, play on." And I love it.
