We smile a lot. I suppose it's to
fend off the pain and the suffering
that we see everyday we walk
down the street.
We laugh a lot. I suppose it's to
hide our insecurities from our
foes and make us look all the
more powerful in their eyes.
We cry a lot. It's probably because
we're too busy holding in all our
sacred emotions, keeping them
from the rest of the world.
We chant and jeer a lot. I suppose
we do it to cover our asses, and
make sure no one thinks that you think
the other guy may be right for once.
I think we want independence from
the straight-faced lies we've been given
from the start. But it's not easy when
we're tangled in the very webs of
deception we use to keep the others
at bay.
To be honest, I think everything is pretty much
Ninety-nine percent bullshit, and a slim
one percent truth. We're too scared of
letting out the way we truly feel. It's too
dangerous in these rotten, fecid times.
The worst part is, If you get caught
spreading that one percent of truth -
you'll lose it.
And in that one percent we call ours,
lies our independence.
