I hear the song of consequence,
I've heard it's music ever since,
the day I said the words I said,
the day I did the things I did.

I hope you soon will realize,
I've not pulled wool over your eyes,
I'm just lost in all these bad dreams,
I'm not the person to you I seem.

I will continue on to be,
the person you refuse to see,
But no more will it haunt me,
this tragic painful melody.

So as we move on to anew,
I have no regrets to give to you,
I hope that soon you'll understand,
and find to hold another hand.

I truly don't know what to say,
these eyes grow weak each passing day,
I refuse to read the notes once more,
So on I go to what's in store.

Live your life with no regrets,
And show your strength each chance you get,
Remember all the good you see,
and forget the painful melody.

"Nice job!" I say to you. Seriously, it is good....and with one of those powerful life messages at the end...
