Because it can’t
Published on July 21, 2004 By Death_By_Beebles In Blogging
Every day I log on to my JU acount here, I’m constantly unsatisfied with myself. My articles don’t attract any attention, and I remain basically anonymous. So, in the light of these thoughts, I’ve come to the conclusion that my blog doesn’t really count.

I started this blog to share my thoughts with others and to try and create an environment for conversation about topics that I think are important. What happens when others don’t share their thoughts back? Nothing happens. And that’s what happens when I post something on JU. I feel whiney, horrible, and maybe sub-par for this “public writing” thing. In fact, in one of my earlier posts, I was told that I wasn’t even a good writer.

I guess life is what you make of it, right? Sometimes it feels like every time I take a step forward I fall two steps back. I feel helpless and out of control. Whilst my other friends maintain a high level of public JU respect, or at least JU visibility, I remain in the shadows. Maybe if I posted more articles, replied to all the articles I read.... I don’t know.

So, in closing, my blog doesn’t count, because it can’t. It can’t count unless other people see it. So if only two or three other people see it, am I really achieving the goal I’ve created? I don't know.

Hold on, I guess, when you feel like letting go.

Peace or whatever,

Beebes

Hey Alex, don't worry. You'll come around sometime. When I first started on here hardly anybody came to my articles except for Capt., Shaun, and Madpoet. Yeah, I've made myslef known on here, because I try to. You can't just go around reading things and not respond. I agree with Muggaz in saying that you should leave comments instead of just reading them. I know people like your blogs. If they didn't you wouldn't have anyone responding on this one. Trust me. Just make sure to leave a comment here and there. Don't worry you'll get noticed. And what kind of friend would I be if I didn't come here and read your artcles and respond to them, huh? Well I wish you the best of luck in gettin more noticed. I have been trying to help with that. Usually when I right an article about other people on here I try to mention your site. So good luck!!

Beebles,

I enjoy your blogs immensely. You have been a consistent and interesting blogger.

For the record, the vast majority of my articles have no responses, or one or two. It's frustrating sometime, because sometimes those pieces are your best work. But you have to remember what you're here for.

CS GUY!!!! Damned good to have you back, man. I've got some good libertarian material I could use your help on...c'mon over to my blog and check it out!
